   Keep it human

   Sentences, not speeches. Use names. Use ordinary words. God is not impressed by church tone.

   A simple shape

   Who God is. Thank you. Sorry. Please — for them, for you, for Journey, for one person far from Jesus.

   Listen

   Leave thirty seconds of quiet. If a verse or a name comes, say it. If nothing comes, that is fine.

   The Lord's Prayer

   When you do not know what to say, pray the words Jesus gave. Slowly.
