For Freedom

For freedom Christ has set us free. Do not submit again to a yoke. Freedom is not the right to indulge — it is the power to love.

Stand firm
Freedom can be lost by going back to the old measuring stick: if I perform, I belong. That is another gospel.
Faith working through love
In Christ neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts. What counts is faith expressing itself through love.
Do not use freedom for the flesh
The flesh always wants a religious costume or an unbound appetite. Both are slavery. Serve one another.

- Where are you still trying to earn a seat at the table?
- What does 'freedom' currently mean in your actual week?
- Who could you serve this week because you are free, not because you are afraid?

- Notice one performance-for-God habit and replace it with a simple act of love.
- Read Galatians 5:1 every morning for seven days.
