Keep in Step
Christina · Galatians 5:16–25
Walk by the Spirit and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. The fruit is not a mood board. It is what grows when we keep in step.

Two desires
Flesh and Spirit are not equal teammates. They oppose each other. Pretending you do not have a war is how you lose it.
The works are obvious
Paul is not vague. If the works of the flesh are running the house, we tell the truth and come into the light.
Fruit, not factory
Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Fruit grows on a living vine, not a grind.

- Which fruit is ripening, and which is still hard?
- What would 'keeping in step' look like on a Tuesday afternoon?
- Where do you need the body to help you tell the truth?
Practices
- Pick one fruit. Practice it on the person who is hardest to love this week.
- Ask the Spirit to fill you before you enter the hardest room on your calendar.
