Read Galatians 5:16–25. Have someone list the works of the flesh, someone else the fruit.
The war is real
Flesh and Spirit oppose each other. Pretending you are past the war is how the flesh wins.
Fruit grows
You cannot manufacture patience by white-knuckle. You stay attached to Jesus and you practice the fruit on purpose.
Gifts in a small church
The Spirit gives gifts so the body is built up — greeters, intercessors, teachers, craftsmen, riders who show up.
