The path
Step 4 · Spirit
Jesus fills
The Christian life is impossible in the flesh.
Jesus baptizes with the Holy Spirit. We ask to be filled, we practice the gifts in love, and we learn the fruit that cannot be faked: love, joy, peace, patience.
Foursquare is a Spirit-empowered people. This step is not about a show. It is about power to witness, to put sin to death, and to build up the body.
If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.
Galatians 5:25
Practices
For a mentor conversation
- What is your honest history with the Holy Spirit — hunger, fear, confusion, or fire?
- Where are you currently trying to live the Christian life in your own grit?
- What gift might God have given you for this church family?
- How can we pray for a fresh filling this week?
